Seems fairly comprehensive to me… Once again I appreciate the inclusion of some doubtless fairly tedious work on my behalf.

Add buy a new graphics card to that list… Nvidia have the drivers for your card, but you need to be in linux to install them, or at least a shell so you can execute the run command and update your config. This poses a huge problem seeing as neither of these are available to you because the install can't complete properly. Even if you do manage to get to a shell you won't be able to edit the config properly as it may not be fully created before the final part of the install. Also you actually have no way of getting to the shell. There may be a solution available if you trawl though www.linuxquestions.org. They are pretty good there.

Um… Actually, I got bored so I found out how to solve your problem. You may not even need to get drivers from Nvidia. I wouldn't suggest trying either. Apparently it's possible to start up in txt mode anyway, edit you config file from the boot loader to a run level of 3 instaed of five and then change the card to generic nVidia drivers. Details to follow next time I see you or check out linuxquestions.org forum, loads of stuff there!

did you know that windows hosting is more expensive than apache? oy! Web Hosting is renewed in August. I'll have to wait til then, or at least until I can afford my own hosting before I can press for the relisting of item #2 on your list…
