Fifty-Fifty

Via Stuart Langridge, someone named Neil K—though I assume his real name is longer than simply 'K'—has created an interesting series of photos each composed of 50 randomly-chosen images on a certain theme blended together. It's all done programatically. As he says, "No human is involved in choosing, positioning, or blending the images." Some of the results are very cool looking, particularly the few that have some ghostly vestige of one of their more striking component images (try flower and soup for example).

I don't know about those photos, it's all very suggestive really! I mean if you didn't look at what he's telling you the picture is made up of, often it's just a blob! Pretty blobs, but still blobs! Although perhaps it's either a)my lack of appreciation for 'art' or 2) it's my lack of imagination! Do you see what I did there …? Although I did like the Eiffel Tower one!

Also that extra "n" in your html code for a space seems to have gone a bit kacka in the word comments! I'm sure that was just a slip of the index finger! Also I was reading one of your past links where you were bitching about not being a very good writer, which I think is rubbish cos there have been many posts that I've laughed out loud at - all Rory original works!

By the way, yes I am trying to kill time not doing my fyp hence I am commenting on the things you say! So sue me! Did you get the ftp working again? Having had some dealings with using them I know that they can be a big pain in the vacuity.

Also you should check out the site http://bootleg.freakin.nl if you're looking for some music from just about anyone good.
