Multi-Touch DOM Events
I like the mysterious promise in this email from Dave Hyatt (of Apple Safari fame) to the WHAT-WG. Someone wondered whether, now that the iPhone will support multi-touch mouse events, the DOM would be updated to support them too. This would let Web developers define for themselves the behaviour of their pages when the user clicks two or more elements at once. Essentially it would allow them to take advantage of all the information available, to make new and potentially cool interfaces. Dave Hyatt's response?
I'll have much more to say about this in the coming months.
Sounds like Apple might already have some ideas about this.
