iPhone in Ireland

Seen the Apple iPhone ads yet? They're just dripping with "I want one"-ness. Unfortunately as T-Mobile is going to be the European network for the iPhone and T-Mobile is conspicuously absent from the Irish market we won't see it here for some time after the initial European release. I maintain a cautious optimism that Meteor, who already have some sort of relationship with T-Mobile in roaming, will be able to swing the iPhone for Ireland deal.

Pfft… forget the iPhone. I got one of the new Nokia N95s a few weeks ago, and let me just say it is totally fricking awesome. A 5 megapixel camera, up to 2 Gb flash, GPS, Video etc. But the coolest feature is a wifi card, so I can (and do) run skype from my phone when I'm in an area with free wifi access.

Who needs multitouch screens anyway?

Hi Guys, the iPhone will not be unlocked, (as everyone worldwide could use it then) but, my site TechnoEssence.com has got the inside scoop and has all the latest for an imminent announcement on the iPhone in Ireland

JK: Not necessarily. It's T-Mobile in Germany so you might have expected T-Mobile in the UK too. But as you say it's O2 in the UK. I don't think you can really go by who got the deal in other countries.
